FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) How long does the party last?

The football or sports activities will last for 90 minutes including a number of games and activities appropriate to the age and ability of the children with a presentation at the end. You may want to allow more time for food etc. so we generally say 2 hours.

2) I want to hire a hall or venue, is there anywhere locally that you can recommend?

Yes, there are a number of halls that have relevant facilities and have confirmed that they are available for use. See below for list of sports hall facilities that we have used regularly:

St Martins School, Brentwood

Shenfield School, Brentwood

Anglo European School, Ingatestone

Laindon Community Centre Sports Hall, Laindon

James Hornsby High School, Basildon

Mayflower High School, Sports Hall, Billericay

Bromfords School, Wickford

Danbury Sports and Social Club

Hylands School, Chemlsford

South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre

Abbs Cross Leisure Centre, Hornchurch

Coopers Coburn School, Upminster

Harlow Leisure Zone

Most secondary schools in the area hire their sports facilities at weekends and will have a hire / lettings page on their websites with more information

3) I am hiring a hall to use for the party, how long to I need to hire it for and are there any questions I need to ask?

We recommend that the hire time is for a minimum of 2 or 3 hours. This allows for an Hour and a Half for the party, with time for setting up/packing away and time for food.

Some venues will allow you set up / pack away time that isn't included in the paid for time however it is best to check with the individual venues.

You will need to confirm that the hall that ball games are acceptable. It is normally best to go with a sports facility.

4) I don't want to hire a hall, I want to hold the party outside, where can I do this?

You can use any local playing / sports fields to run a football / sports party and we will bring everything needed for the party to you.

We have some suggestions of outside facilities that also have a local cafe / food area which could be used in conjunction:

Intersports FC Playing Fields, Southend Road Billericay - use of the playing fields and arrangements can be made with the clubhouse to provide food / drinks - let us know if you want more information

Langdon Hills Recreational Ground - use of playing fields and arrangements can be made with the cafe to provide food / drinks - let us know if you want more information

Wickford Memorial Park - use of playing fields and arrangements can be made with the cafe (Huttons) to provide food / drinks - let us know if you want more information

5) Do we have to provide anything for the party?

We will bring all of our own equipment so you will not need to provide anything for this aspect. Something we would recommend, is providing water or drinks for the children attending in case they don't bring their own.

6) Can you provide party food?

Unfortunately we are unable to provide food for your party as we are not licensed to do so. We can however recommend a company to do this should you require.

7) I have an older/younger child that would like to join in with the party. Is that OK?

This is OK providing they are in the 3-10 year old age range. Alternatively they are able to assist the coach with the running of the party if they want to be involved. We request that 75% of the number of children are the same age/school year as the birthday child i.e. for a party of 16, 11 children must of be the same age group. This is so that we are able to tailor the party towards the right age group. If this is not the case then please do let us know so that we can amend the party structure. We reserve the right to ask disruptive children not to join in if we think it will be detrimental to the party. For specific situations, please get in touch.

8) Some of the children we are inviting have never played football before, is this a problem?

No this isn't a problem at all! It is a party after all and so activities will be fun based rather than skills based and can play to the needs of the group.

9) Some of the children invitied have medical conditions, is there anything we need to do?

Please inform us of any specific situations. Please also ensure that any children with medical conditions have their relevant mediciation with them at the party.

10) What happens if a child gets injured whilst at the party?

Our coaches have up to date first aid training and carry a full first aid kit to deal with minor situations which may arise.

A full risk assessment will be undertaken prior to the start of the party to identify any potential risks.

The nature of football is a contact sport and therefore Essex Football Parties cannot be held responsible for any injuries that are caused whilst participating.
